"The Scoundrel" Proven Homozygous  DUAL CHAPS & BSPA GRADED STATUS

15.1hh Traditional Cob    Born 2003

The Scoundrel (Harry) is the only 15hh + Traditional Gypsy Cob stallion in the country to be proven Homozygous and have dual grading status with both CHAPS and the BSPA. He is a lovely scopey type of Traditional combining bone and substance with real quality. He has extravagant straight free movement, a quality head, a wonderful front, and an unusually powerful hindquarter for a stallion of his type. His temperament is truly outstanding. Having only been broken for a matter of weeks he took part in the Gradings (winter of 07) and behaved perfectly being given 9 out of 10 for temperament and manners. He is stabled next to mares and happily hacks out alongside them. He covered mares for the first time in 07 and proved to be the perfect gentleman in all respects. He covers in hand and runs with mares and foals and has impeccable manners with both, infact during one of the frequent wet summers we have endured he actually had a foal sheltering underneath him!!! We have shown him very lightly  because of incredibly busy stud seasons, but he has won inhand and under saddle and was CHAPS Champion at Grafton Park. We have been genuinely thrilled with his foals and they are now coming out in the show ring and doing incredibly well, including Youngstock Champion Chaps S.E. 2010 and Res Youngstock Champion Chaps NW 2010. He has consisitently been throwing big, quality, well marked foals, with size, substance and his free straight movement. He is the ideal choice of sire for show traditionals and for lightweight mares to introduce guaranteed colour, all the attributes listed and above all temperament. EVA and CEM tested. (Please visit the foal page to view some of his foals)

Stud Fee:  £450-00 NFFR      AI available (chilled/fresh/)  Concessions available

"Hoodwink" CHAMPION BSPA Graded Traditional Gypsy Cob Stallion

He has recently been sold to Lynn Shimwell of N Yorks

14.1hh Gypsy Bred Traditional Cob Stallion. 11" Bone. 7yrs

We acquired "Hoody" from the Gypsies last Autumn and have spent last winter preparing him for grading, he successfully graded with the BSPA in March 2008 becoming CHAMPION STALLION. He is a really typey sort of Traditional with an incredible amount of bone and feather, but combines this with great quality and a tiny pony head. He really covers the ground when he moves and has incredible stamina. He is beautifully marked and is predominantly black. I saw several of his offspring and they seemed to inherit his substance but also his quality, and we look forward to his foals arriving here in 2009!

He is broken to ride and drive and is equally well behaved in each discipline.

He would be the ideal sire for Traditionals and for lighter weight mares to improve bone, substance and hardiness without losing quality.

Stud Fee: £250-00 NFFR                              Better photos to follow!
